STORY

A house that has overlooked the Mediterranean for more than a hundred years.

Originally the estate was known as a "casa de peones", a historical Spanish term that usually refers to a workers' or laborers' house.

The word peones means "laborers," "workers," or "manual workers." Along the Spanish coast and in rural areas, a casa de peones was often a simple building used to house workers connected to agriculture, fishing, road maintenance, salt production, or coastal activities.

We have learned from former relatives of the property that the patio and the beach side units which are now apartments, were formerly being used to shelter cattle.

In the 60's the estate was a local "venta" or restaurant, where weddings were celebrated, party's etc.

The estate would be ideal as an investment object, e.g. restaurant (there is no roof terrace to be found with such exceptional views as in Harmony Beach), a yoga or wellness centre, health clinic, or private business. Through Mediterranean-style handmade steps, you reach several patio areas and terraces, a communal kitchen, toilets, a shower room, storage and tool rooms, a large terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, several bedrooms, and three independent apartments with private terraces located directly on the beach, which are currently being used as Airbnb rentals.

On the ground floor south side terrace, the terraces of the apartments, you find an original old water well, which is being recognized as a monumental point in the area.

House situated in Partido de Huit, Vélez Málaga, on the N340 road in between Lagos and El Morche.

The estate of 498m2 is situated on 811m2 land

On the west side of the house you can park two cars, and direct access to the beach. Also giving entrance to two storage units and a side entrance to the roof terrace.

On the east side of the house is a semi-private road with a wooden entrance gate, where there is space to park 5 cars. Parking in this street is for residents only, but during summer months people will go through the gate to enter the beach. This street also gives access to the Airbnb apartments. This street also gives entrance to 2 storage units and 1 apartment currently used for employees.

The location of the estate is ideal as all amenities are on walking distance towards the small village of El Morche and the adjacent touristic Torrox Costa.

Nerja is 20 minutes by car, Algarrobo Costa and Torrox Costa 5 minutes by car.

Airport Málaga: 45 minutes by car.

Shopping Centre El Ingenio: 15 minutes by car.

Hospital Torre del Mar: 15 minutes by car.
